      TRIP TO TROMSØ 2

      Our scientific trip to Norway continued with an evening spent observing the northern lights in the Tromsø fjord. This magical moment echoed our morning visit to the geophysical observatory, where we deepened our understanding of atmospheric and magnetic phenomena.

      The following morning, we had the opportunity to visit the Norwegian Polar Institute, where a geologist presented her research in Svalbard and Antarctica. The afternoon was marked by a hike to the summit of Fjellheisen, offering a panoramic view of Tromsø and the surrounding area.

      Our scientific project progresses thanks to our collaboration with the Geophysical Observatory, which houses our muon detector. This device enables us to collect data remotely in order to analyze the correlation between the muon flux detected at a high latitude (69°N), solar activity and disturbances to the Earth’s magnetic field. The adventure has only just begun!
