EXPERIMENTS IN PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY
Students in première spécialité physics and chemistry are working on the mass of substance in chemistry by studying fun and colorful chemical transformations. Two reactions with different reactions create surprising color changes!
The experiment consists of three parts. Solution A is made up of ascorbic acid and water. Solution B is composed of solution A with iodide ions, and solution C contains hydrogen peroxide and thiodene.
By mixing solution B and C, one observes that the liquid turns blue-black. Then, by adding the rest of solution A the solution becomes transparent before turning blue-black again.
