A VISIT FROM ANNE L'HUILLIER, NOBEL PRIZE WINNER
✨ An inspiring scientific meeting at LFPH!
On Tuesday, October 7th (the day the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics was announced!), we had the great pleasure of welcoming Anne L’Huillier, 2023 Nobel Prize winner in Physics, for an exceptional meeting with our students. The morning began with a round table discussion with students in lycée specialising in science, who came prepared for the event.
🎯 Objective: to highlight the ‘STEM for women’ dimension through an inspiring discussion with Anne L’Huillier about her career path, the place of women in research and the challenges of guiding young girls towards scientific careers.
This was followed by a conference open to students in collège and lycée, allowing them to discover her research work – in particular the generation of high-order harmonics leading to the production of an “extended frequency comb in the ultraviolet and the development of attosecond lasers”, work that gave her the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics.
💡 It was an exciting opportunity for our students to discuss the improving career prospects.
🙏 Thanks to the French Embassy in Denmark and the French Institute for their valuable collaboration — and of course to Anne L’Huillier, for her availability, humility and inspiring commitment to our students.
