      AMÉLIE AT THE NORDIC SPEECH FESTIVAL

      The Nordic Speech Festival is an opportunity for students and teachers from Danish high schools. Students work on speeches in class and submit their texts to a selection committee. This year, around 800 students participated by sending in their speeches. The 60 best were selected and given the opportunity to deliver their speech in front of an audience of young people and interested adults.

      Over the past week, three events have taken place in Denmark, as the national part of the competition. The best speakers from these meetings have been selected to participate in the great Nordic Speech Festival to be held in Uppsala, Sweden in April.

      We are proud to announce that Amélie, a student at our school, was selected to speak at the Speech Festival in Gentofte. She gave a brilliant speech in front of a large audience, including her classmates and their Danish teacher. Here she was then selected for the grand final in Uppsala, Sweden, in a week’s time.  Congratulations, Amélie, on this great achievement!
