EVENT: SCIENCE WORKSHOP
Presentation evening for the LFPH science workshop
The students in the LFPH’s “Cosmic Rays” workshop, supervised by Antoine Manier and Marie-Anne Déjoan, recently presented their work during an evening full of discussion and wonder.
On the program:
- An account of their scientific trip to Norway, where they became particle and polar aurora hunters
- Presentation of an Arduino-controlled particle detector
- Digital simulations and the ongoing project on Planeterrella (polar aurora simulator)
- Fog chambers to observe the trajectories of electrons, protons, and muons
- At the end of the evening: a cocktail (alcohol-free, of course!) chilled with dry ice, for the enjoyment of young and old alike!
Well done to these curious, motivated and engaging students, who brought the project to life with such enthusiasm. Thank you also to Mickael Mocka for his trust and support throughout this wonderful adventure.
