TRIP TO FERMUN 2024
A delegation of 11 students in 1ère took part in FerMUN (a United Nations model organized by the Lycée International de Ferney Voltaire).
After visiting snow-covered Geneva and CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) at the beginning of the week, they took part in 3 days of simulated negotiations on the theme of labor, on the premises of the International Labor Organization. Taking part in this major event, which brought together 560 high school students from 22 countries, is fully in line with the LFPH’s school development project, in particular axis 1: training tomorrow’s citizens.
The students were able to discover the work of an international body like the UN, and developed their argumentation skills during the various key moments of the project (lobbying, debates, drafting and voting on amendments, etc.)
