MEDIA EDUCATION AND CRITICAL THINKING IN EMC

As part of media education in EMC – Geography and Civics, our students in Seconde had the pleasure of participating in two workshops led by Ms. Camille Bas-Wohlert, journalist and AFP correspondent for the Nordic countries. They learned about journalistic methods and ethics, as well as issues related to images and their misuse. The project ended with a simulated press conference and editorial meeting. This unique experience allowed students to strengthen their critical thinking skills and refine their analysis of sources. A big thank you to Ms. Bas-Wohlert and the association “Entre les lignes” (Between the Lines) that she represents for her volunteer work and the quality of the exchanges with the students! The lesson learned: be skeptical and verify before sharing!
