PHILOSOPHY WORKSHOPS IN PRIMAIRE
In May, classes in primaire took part in a rather unique experience: philosophy workshops led by Mr. Maklouf, who holds a doctorate in philosophy. Organized as part of the World Diversity Day project, these workshops invited students from first through fifth grade to explore together big questions about friendship, justice, freedom, happiness, and more.
Through the stories The Ugly Duckling and The Axe Thief, they reflected on difference, prejudices, appearances, equality, and fairness. There were wonderful discussions, lots of enthusiasm, and very insightful reflections! ✨
Beyond philosophy, they developed valuable skills: critical thinking, self-confidence, and respect for others’ perspectives. These are life skills that we begin to build from a very young age.
