MARCH 8th VISITORS
In connection with International Women’s Day, the 6th graders had the opportunity to meet Astrid and Emmanuelle, two French students from an engineering school.
They presented their academic background and discussed the topic of girls in science. The session continued with workshops on gender stereotypes in the media, clichés of boys and girls, and an overview of women’s rights around the world.
This event is in line with Axis 1 of our School Development Project (Teaching the Citizens of Tomorrow). Travelling by train, Astrid and Emmanuelle are currently visiting French schools throughout Europe to raise awareness regarding the stakes of climate change. They will be back at Prins Henrik School in a few weeks to talk about this theme with our 6th graders.
