KANGAROO MATHEMATICS 2025
The world’s largest written exam (!), the MATHEMATICS KANGAROO (with the KOALA, a version for younger children), took place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in more than 100 countries around the world. In France, 312,000 students participated.
A French initiative, the Kangaroo has spread over the past 35 years, first in Europe and then across five continents. Today, in 2025, more than 7 million young people reflected on and answered to the same questions on the same day, prepared by teachers from the Kangaroo Without Borders association, who met in Santos, Brazil, last October.
At the LFPH: This is the fourth year in a row that we have taken part in the competition, from 4th grade to 9th grade! This year, out of 149 registered participants, including 107 students in primaire and 42 form collège, we had 144 participants on “K Day”: Among them, six students ranked in the top 1,000 worldwide in their age group!
The participation fee was offered by the school.
We look forward to seeing the students in March 2026 for the next edition, which will also be open to high school students!
