THE GUDULE PRESENTATION
The “GUDULE” group of young high-school researchers, supervised by Antoine Manier and Marie-Anne Déjoan, specializing in the study of cosmic radiation, welcomed school parents for a presentation in English on the progress of their research project. This exchange of ideas highlighted the work accomplished and prepared the way for their next presentation to researchers from the Space Physics Group at the University of Tromsø, Norway, scheduled for the end of February.
The audience discovered with interest the many facets of this ambitious scientific project. Among the research topics covered, the students presented the design of a muon detector, Python programming for data analysis, simulation of cosmic phenomena, and the design and 3D printing of a housing to protect their device. The group’s involvement in collaboration with French and international scientists was also highlighted.
The scientific trip to Norway undoubtedly holds many new discoveries for the group, as well as valuable exchanges with scientists in Tromsø!
