🌟 [COS Project] Review of a successful educational adventure: AI and sustainable development under the critical eye of our high school students!
Over two intense days, students from the french lycées Saint-Louis in Stockholm, Prins Henrik School in Copenhagen, and René Cassin in Oslo became experts in mapping controversies around a major issue: “AI and sustainable development.” Here are the key skills they developed!
📚 A comprehensive course to master the challenges of the 21st century
The students explored this complex subject through a structured and collaborative course:
- Documentary research: Analysis of a press reviews and a documentary file to understand the many facets of the controversy.
- Online discussions: Teamwork between the three schools to exchange views and refine their analyses.
- Stakeholder profiles : Identification of stakeholders and their positions to map out the debates.
- Body and voice workshop: Physical and vocal preparation to speak in public with ease.
- Mini-debates: Putting argumentation and active listening techniques into practice.
- Final debate simulation: A full-scale exercise to synthesize what they have learned and defend their ideas.
💡 21st-century skills in action
This project enabled students to develop essential skills for their future:
- Documentary research: Knowing how to sort, analyze, and synthesize reliable information.
- Oral and communication: Structuring a speech, adapting language, and capturing the audience’s attention.
- Collaboration: Working remotely with peers from different countries, using digital tools.
- Critical thinking: Questioning sources, identifying biases, and building solid arguments.
- Argumentation: Knowing how to defend a position while respecting differing opinions.
- Psychosocial skills: Manage stress, listen actively, and respond to others’ comments.
